Information on introduction of
Electronic System for Travel Authorization in U.S.

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the introduction of the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) as a part of the visa waiver program.  All travelers from visa waiver countries who visit the United States for a short business or sightseeing trip without a visa after January 12, 2009 will be required to apply online and obtain a Travel Authorization before going through boarding procedures for a flight to the U.S.`
